Dalrymple delivered this speech to mark the release of Life at the Bottom. The event was hosted by the Manhattan Institute, publisher of City Journal, the magazine that published the essays that were collected in the book. Hannan is best known by most people for the YouTube video of his face-to-face dressing down of British Prime Minister Gordon Brown in the European Parliament.
