Lovely resource. Much appreciated. But shouldn’t it really be sceptical doctor? Eh? EH?
Thank you, Kabon!
“Skeptical” is the American spelling. We get a good deal of ribbing on that from our UK readers, but as you know, we Americans have pretty well bastardized your language. Best wishes, and please feel free to comment often.
Quit apologizing for your country, Clinton. It is unbecoming and annoying.
When languages diverge into distinct dialects over time, there is no right or wrong dialect and no need to describe the language that you speak as “bastardized.”
I think you need to look up the definition of bastardize (or bastardise even), Chris. Furthermore, the man was clearly being quite wry, which you clearly weren’t.
Now, be ye limey or yankee bastards, do let’s all get along.
Quite so. Clinton meant ‘bastardised’.
